Through the migration of a large number of manuscript and correspondence archives to the national ManusOnline portal, the Biblioteca Panizzi library of Reggio Emilia has markedly improved the searchability and online visibility of its digital resources.

The project included an in-depth analysis of existing databases, the mapping of the catalogue records used on national catalogue profiles, and the development of specific software modules to support the import of the data.

The migration has led to an overall increase in the interoperability of the descriptive records of some of the library's archives with respect to the standard catalogue profiles used for manuscripts at national level.

The collaboration with GruppoMeta ensured a smooth and accurate migration process, supporting the library in the transition to the new system and increasing the searchability and accessibility of valuable historical documents.
